Credentials: License Number: OHI.2026000385
- Certified Inspector with the American Society of Home Inspections (ASHI)
John Steinhauer is a licensed home inspector with a hands-on approach and a focus on keeping buyers informed and safe. Growing up with a father who worked as a drain technician for over 35 years, John developed a strong foundation in plumbing, which he expanded through his own experience installing septic and sewer systems throughout Ohio. Combined with his work in the electrical field and customer service, he brings a broad understanding of home systems to every inspection, ensuring buyers get accurate, clear, and thorough reports.
Before becoming a home inspector, John worked as a drain technician and more recently as an electrical associate at The Home Depot, where he trained staff, maintained operations across departments, and implemented safety standards. These experiences sharpened his problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
John’s approach is friendly, professional, and client focused. He isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to uncover hidden issues, and he understands the importance of making complex technical details understandable. Each inspection is conducted with the buyer’s safety and confidence in mind, whether addressing a minor concern or identifying major issues.
When he’s not inspecting homes, John enjoys reading, cinema, art, hiking, birdwatching, and travel. A Columbus resident, he proudly serves much of Ohio and is dedicated to helping buyers navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
